Paul Murray

Clinical Research Nurse

Paul qualified from Queen’s University Belfast School of Nursing in 2006 with a Diploma in Nursing Sciences and completed his degree in Oncology Specialist Practice in 2014.  Paul’s background in nursing has been based in cancer care and he has worked in a number of different cancer centres throughout Northern Ireland and England. Whilst working in England Paul developed an interest in cancer research.

On his return to Northern Ireland, he decided to pursue his interest in research and worked as part of the Northern Ireland Clinical Trials Network prior to taking up his post with The Northern Ireland Biobank.  Paul has worked in the NIB for the last 10 years and is responsible for a number of different areas within the NIB the main responsibility being the facilitating of high quality collection of tissue and blood samples from consented patients to ensure seamless operation of the Biobank.
